1. Before You Order
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
2. The Product
Appearance
- RECAP is a handmade product with a 3D-printed enclosure.
- The surface may show visible printing lines, small surface variations, and minor differences in color or dimensions.
- Cosmetic perfection is not guaranteed; customers who require a flawless finish should not expect it from this product.
Compatibility
- RECAP S2 requires a STEREO MICROPHONE input on your recording device.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that their device is compatible before purchasing.
- Lack of compatibility with the customer’s device does not constitute a defect and is not covered by warranty.
Operation
- The device itself has no user-adjustable settings or controls.
- Input levels and recording parameters are set on the recorder/phone/camera being used.
- Documentation (such as a user manual and knowledge base) is provided to explain basic operation.
3. Order & Shipping
Processing Time
- Orders generally ship within five (5) business days.
- Choosing Priority or Express shipping changes the shipping method only; it does not shorten the processing time.
- During holidays or vacation periods, the website may indicate temporarily longer lead times.
U.S. Shipping – First-Class vs Priority Mail
- First-Class Mail
- Tracked but not insured.
- RECAP’s responsibility ends once the package is accepted by USPS and a tracking number is provided.
- If the package is lost or damaged in transit, there is no refund from RECAP.
- Priority Mail
- Tracked and insured.
- RECAP’s responsibility ends when USPS marks the package as DELIVERED.
- Any loss or damage in transit is subject to a USPS insurance claim initiated by the buyer.
International Orders
- International orders may be subject to customs processing, import duties, taxes, or delays beyond RECAP’s control.
- Standard international shipping is via USPS First Class International.
- Priority Express Mail is available for enhanced tracking and insurance.
4. Support & Contact
- Support is provided via an online support portal (ticket system). Email is not used for support.
- We aim to respond to support requests within ten (10) business days. Actual response times may vary depending on workload and holidays.
- If you have not received a reply after ten (10) business days, you may submit a follow-up ticket through the portal.
5. Warranty & Returns
All Sales Final
- All sales are final.
- Returns and refunds are not offered, including but not limited to:
- Change of mind
- Dissatisfaction with cosmetic appearance
- Incompatibility with the customer’s device
Customer Responsibilities Before Purchase
- Confirm that the intended recording device provides a compatible stereo microphone input.
- Review the available product documentation and compatibility information.
- Understand and accept that cosmetic variations are inherently part of a handmade, 3D-printed product.
Warranty Coverage
- RECAP products are covered by a 30-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects only.
Covered Examples
- Defective solder joints
- Failures of internal electronic components
- Defective cable or connector
- Functional failures not caused by misuse or external damage
Exclusions (Not Covered)
- Cosmetic imperfections (including 3D-printing texture, layer lines, minor finish or color variations)
- Device incompatibility (e.g., using a device without a stereo mic input)
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper handling, modification, or attempted repair or reverse engineering
- Normal wear and tear
Warranty Process
- The customer submits a warranty claim via the support portal within 30 days of delivery.
- The claim should include the order number, clear photographs, and a description of the issue.
- If the claim is approved, RECAP will repair or replace the product at its discretion.
- The customer is responsible for shipping the product back to RECAP; RECAP covers the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement unit back to the customer.
Wrong Item Shipped
- If the wrong product or an incorrect item is shipped, RECAP will cover return shipping and send the correct item at no additional cost.
- Issues with wrong items must be reported within seven (7) days of delivery.
6. Other Legal Terms
- The customer is solely responsible for compliance with all local, state, and national laws regarding the recording of audio, telephone calls, and copyrighted material.
- RECAP is not responsible for any unlawful or non-compliant use of the product.
- The customer agrees not to disassemble, modify, or reverse engineer the product.
- These Terms & Conditions may be updated or revised from time to time. The version indicated on the site at the time of purchase applies to that order.
